Central Mall Curved Glass Balustrade – Robina Town Centre
A complex curved glass balustrade installation delivering a seamless, modern finish within a high-traffic retail environment on the Gold Coast.
Project Overview
Category: Balustrades, Commercial, Retail
Location: Robina, Gold Coast
Project Description: Southern Stainless was engaged to fabricate and install a curved glass balustrade system for Central Mall at Robina Town Centre, located in front of Myer.
This project required a high level of precision to achieve the smooth, continuous curves around open voids within the shopping centre. The design incorporated hidden steel glazing channels, creating a clean, minimalist appearance while maintaining structural integrity.
All detailing was completed in-house using SolidWorks, allowing for accurate coordination and local procurement of both curved and straight glass panels. The system was completed with the installation of 21.52mm toughened laminated glass, secured using specialised grout and perimeter silicone sealing for a refined finish.
