Project Description: Southern Stainless was engaged to fabricate, supply, and install a modular stainless steel balustrade system for the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.
Spanning approximately 350 metres of balustrade, the project required a balance of structural performance and visual integration within a high-profile public landscape. The architectural design focused on clean lines and durability, ensuring the balustrade enhanced the surrounding environment while meeting safety requirements for both pedestrians and cyclists.
All components were manufactured from high quality stainless steel, mechanically polished to a 600 grit finish and electropolished after fabrication to maximise corrosion resistance in the riverside setting.
